## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JANUARY 27, 2008, WHILE HERDING CATTLE ON HIS RANCH, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MADE TOO TIGHT A TURN VERY CLOSE TO THE GROUND. THIS RESULTED IN A STALL AND THE PIPER AIRCRAFT N743L CRASHED AND BURNED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED AND THE PILOT RECEIVED MINOR BURNS TO HIS HANDS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW08CA059](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW08CA059), Jan 27, 2008: Piper PA-18-150 (N743L), Sheffield, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain sufficient airspeed while maneuvering which resulted in a stall.

## Other reports on N743L (2)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
