## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N817SK, A BOMBARDIER CL-600 AIRCRAFT OPERATING AS SKY WEST FLIGHT NR 1993, EN ROUTE FROM MSP TO ATL WAS CRUISING AT 31,000 FEET. THE FLIGHT CREW NOTICED A RAPID RISE IN THE OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATION FOR THE RIGHT ENGINE AND ELECTED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND DIVERTED TO SPI FOR LANDING. N817SK LANDED AT SPI AT APPROXIMATELY 8:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
