## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC/14 CFR 135 INSTRUCTOR STATES THAT DURING LANDING ROLLOUT AT PHK RUNWAY 17 BY PILOT UNDER INSTRUCTION IN LEFT SEAT THAT THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO DRIFT LEFT. AS INSTRUCTOR CAME ON CONTROLS WITH PILOT THE RIGHT BRAKE PEDAL WAS FOUND TO BE SOFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED DIRECTIONAL CONTROL BECAME MORE DIFFICULT WITH THE CROSSWIND COMPLEMENT. NEAR THE END OF THE ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND CONTACTED AN AIRPORT SIGN WITH THE RIGHT PROPELLER AS THE ENGINE WAS AT IDLE. THE ENGINE STOPPED AFTER THE PROPELLER HIT THE SIGN. THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED ROLLING SHORTLY AFTER. THE PIC NOTED THAT ONE PROP BLADE WAS BENT BACK ON THE RIGHT ENGINE. NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE INCIDENT. PHOTOS PROVIDED BY AIRPORT MANAGEMENT SHOW WHERE AIRCRAFT LEFT RUNWAY AND HIT SIGN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
