As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) UPON LANDING, THE A/C VEERED APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS RIGHT AND DEPARTED RUNWAY COMING TO REST IN PROPOSED DRAINAGE DITCH. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AND UPON IMPACT WITH RAVINE CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT AND TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR. THE RIGHT WING TIP AND LEADING EDGE SUSTAINED DAMAGE. BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT PROPELLER BLADES WERE BENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC08CA105](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC08CA105), Feb 19, 2008: Piper PA-30 (N8202Y), Atlanta, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

## Other reports on N8202Y (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19890306011729I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19890306011729I), Mar 6, 1989: Piper PA30 (N8202Y), Atlanta, GA, Minor damage. Felt aircraft sink on rollout. Made a go around. Extended gear manually. Found gear box had broken loose.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
