## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SUNDAY 02/24/2008 AT APPROXIMATELY 1500, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ACTING AS A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR FOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ SO THAT HE COULD MEET HIS INSURANCE COMPANY'S REQUIREMENTS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DOES NOT HOLD A COMPLEX AIRCRAFT ENDORSEMENT SO HE IS NOT APPROPRIATELY RATED FOR THE AIRCRAFT UNDER FAA REQUIREMENTS. DURING THE LAST TOUCH AND GO LANDING THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY WITH THE LANDING GEAR NOT EXTENDED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED: CONTRIBUTING FACTORS INCLUDED THE PREOCCUPATION AND DISCUSSIONS DEALING WITH PERFECTING THE APPROACH AND LANDING CONFIGURATION WHILE IN THE PATTERN. ANOTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THE DIM LANDING GEAR DOWN INDICATORS DUE TO THE NAV LIGHT SWITCH BEING ON. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED: ON THE FIFTH LANDING, I OBSERVED THAT GEAR CONTROL WAS IN THE "GEAR DOWN" POSITION. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PERFORMED A GREAT APPROACH AND LANDING AND THE AIRPLANE SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY AND SLID TO A STOP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
