## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ON A VISUAL FLIGHT RULES (VFR) FLIGHT FROM MONTICELLO, IA (KMXO) TO PLATTEVILLE, WISCONSIN (KPVB). ENROUTE HE FLEW OVER SAVANNA, IL (KSFY) AND DECIDED TO PRACTICE SOME LANDINGS. HIS FIRST LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. HE DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND MADE LEFT TRAFFIC. ON DOWNWIND HE HEARD ANOTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN FOR THE SAME RUNWAY HE WAS LANDING ON. PREOCCUPIED WITH LOOKING FOR THE TRAFFIC, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THIS RESULTED IN A GEAR UP LANDING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
