## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS LANDING IN A STRONG CROSSWIND. DURING THE ROLL OUT THE AIRPLANE STARTED GOING OFF THE RUNWAY, AND HIT A TAXI WAY SIGN. SLIGHT DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO ONE PROPELLER BLADE, AND THE RIGHT WHEEL PANT. AIRPORT MANAGER TOWED THE AIRPLANE TO A HANGAR. AT THE TIME THE WINDS WERE 170 DEGREES AT 12KTS GUSTING TO 17. PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT BALLOONED SEVERAL TIMES AND THAT AFTER ALL THREE WHEELS MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY AND ROLLING OUT ON THE CENTER LINE THAT A GUST OF WING CAUSED HIM TO SWERVE TO THE RIGHTSIDE OF THE RUNWAY 23 AND MADE CONTRACT WITH A RUNWAY SIGN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
