## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 3/10/2008 DURING LANDING AFTER A VFR LEFT HAND PATTERN TO RUNWAY 27 AT OQN (BRANDYWINE, PA) THE RIGHT PROPELLER AND RIGHT WING TIP STRUCK THE RUNWAY. BOTH MAIN LANDING GEAR DOORS WERE ALSO DAMAGED. THE PILOT ELECTED TO GO AROUND AND DIVERTED TO ILG (WILMINGTON, DE) WHERE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS MADE. THE AIRPORT MANAGER AT OQN WAS AN EYEWITNESS TO THE EVENT AND REPORTED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED UPON LANDING. INSPECTION OF THE RUNWAY AT OQN AND INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT AT ILG BY INSPECTORS FROM THE PHLADELPHIA FLIGHT STANDARDS DISTRICT OFFICE CONFIRM THE DAMAGE AS REPORTED AND IS CONSISTENT WITH THE EYEWITNESS STATING THAT THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN APPROACH AND TOUCHDOWN ON THE RUNWAY WITH THE GEAR NOT EXTENDED. THE PILOT STATED DURING AN INTERVIEW AND ON HIS WRITTEN STATEMENT THAT THE GEAR WAS EXTENDED AND LOCKED BY HI INDICATION OF THREE GREEN LIGHTS. HE ALSO STATED THAT A PILOT ON THE GROUND REPORTED JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN THAT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WAS ONLY PARTIALLY DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
