## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT HE TAXIED TO RUNWAY 01 HOLD SHORT LINE. WHILE HE WAS GETTING THE AIRPLANE READY FOR DEPARTURE, HE NOTICED A FLICKER OF LIGHT IN HIS PERIPHERAL VISION. HE TURNED HIS HEAD, LOOKING BACK INTO THE REAR OF THE AIRCRAFT AND SAW FLAMES BEHIND THE BACK SEAT. HE STATED THAT HE IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF THE ENGINES AND EXITED THE PLANE. WHILE HE WAS CLIMBING OFF THE WING HE COULD SEE FLAMES AT THE REAR MOST WINDOW OF THE FUSELAGE, WHICH WOULD BE INTO THE REAR BAGGAGE AREA. HE RAN CLEAR OF THE AIRCRAFT AND CALLED 911. HE ESTIMATED THAT THE FIRE TRUCKS WERE ON THE SCENE WITHIN 10 MINUTES. AFTER THE FIRE WAS COMPLETELY OUT, HE CALLED FLIGHT SERVICE TO ISSUE A NOTAM.
