## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE CERTIFICATED AIRFRAME AND POWERPLANT MECHANIC WAS TAXIING THE AIRCRAFT TO ITS HANGAR, POST MAINTENANCE. WHILE CROSSING RUNWAY 14-32, A GUST OF WIND CAUGHT THE AIRCRAFT AND FLIPPED IT INVERTED. PER THE NATIONAL CLIMATIC DATA CENTER REPORT FOR MONMOUTH EXECUTIVE AIRPORT FOR MARCH 21, 2008, 0955 LOCAL STANDARD TIME (1055 EDT), THE WINDS WERE 26 MPH GUSTING TO 39 MPH OUT OF 320 DEGREES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND THE MECHANIC SUFFERED A SEPARATED SHOULDER. THE MECHANIC IS A CERTIFICATED PRIVATE PILOT WITH A SINGLE ENGINE LAND RATING, BUT WAS NOT ACTING IN THAT CAPACITY AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
