## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE TAXIING ON RUNWAY 26 AT NEW CENTURY AIRCENTER AIRPORT (IXD) NEW CENTURY, KS AT NIGHT, THE PILOT BECAME DISORIENTED AND, WHILE BELIEVING HE WAS TURNING LEFT ONTO RUNWAY 22, HE IN FACT HAD TURNED WEST OFF OF RUNWAY 36 INTO A GRASSY AREA, CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND AND BENDING THE TIPS OF ALL FOUR PROPELLER BLADES. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
