## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE OPERATING MSP-STL THE FLIGHT DECK INFORMED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS AND PASSENGERS TO BE SEATED DURING DESCENT INTO STL DUE TO IMPENDING TURBULENCE. THEY DID ENCOUNTER TURBULENCE; EVERYONE WAS SEATED; NO INJURIES. ON FLIGHT 827, STL-MEM SEGMENT THE FLIGHT DECK MENTIONED THERE WOULD BE SOME LIGHT RAIN IN THE AREA. ON ASCENT THE FLIGHT DECK ADVISED PASSENGERS AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO REMAIN SEATED. ONCE AT CRUISING ALTITUDE, THE FLIGHT DECK ADVISED FLIGHT ATTENDANTS IT WAS SAFE FOR FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO GET UP, HOWEVER, PASSENGERS NEEDED TO REMAIN SEATED AS THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS ILLUMINATED. THE FLIGHT IN GENERAL WAS NOT TURBULENT. ON DESCENT, THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS ILLUMINATED, A FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS IN THE FIRST CLASS CABIN NEAR SEAT 1 WHEN A JOLT OCCURRED. THE JOLT WAS SEVERE ENOUGH TO KNOCK HER TO THE FLOOR. SHE HIT HER KNEE AND HELD ONTO THE SEAT BRACKET FOR SUPPORT AS THEY WENT THROUGH THE TURBULENT AREA. THE OTHER FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS NEAR THE 1L JUMPSET WHEN THE JOLT HIT. THE OTHER FLIGHT ATTENDANT ASSISTED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT THAT WAS KNOCKED TO HER KNEES. SHE SUSTAINED BRUISING ON HER KNEE. THERE WAS NO INDICATION FROM THE FLIGHT DECK CREW TO SIT DOWN DUE TO IMPENDING TURBULENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
