## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THE SECOND LANDING OF A LOCAL TRAINING FLIGHT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR AXLE FRACTURED ALLOWING THE WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY TO DETACH FROM THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE SWERVED TO THE RIGHT APPROXIMATELY 150 DEGREES AND SKIDDED TO THE LEFT LEAVING THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT. AS THE AIRPLANE LEFT THE RUNWAY THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AXLE FRACTURED ALLOWING THE LEFT WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY TO DETACH FROM THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUTS AND THE TAIL WHEEL. THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR FAIRING, THE ENGINE COWLING, AND THE PROPELLER ASSEMBLY. NO INJURIES TO PERSONNEL WERE SUSTAINED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
