## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 04/05/2008 AT APPROXIMATELY 1814 LOCAL TIME, THE PILOT WAS CONDUCTING A NORMAL APPROACH AND LANDING INTO STILLWATER REGIONAL AIRPORT. THE PILOT WAS GIVEN CLEARANCE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 17 AND GIVEN LOCAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS: WINDS 150@16 KNOTS, 10 MILES VISIBILITY, CLEAR, TEMPERATURE 20C, DEWPOINT 02C AND ALTIMETER SETTING 2977. ON TOUCHDOWN LEFT OF CENTERLINE, AIRCRAFT CONTINUED LEFT AND CONTACTED AIRPORT SIGN DAMAGING THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. AFTER CONTACT WITH THE SIGN THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO GO LEFT DEPARTING THE ACTIVE RUNWAY AND ENDING UP IN THE GRASS BETWEEN THE TAXIWAY AND ACTIVE RUNWAY. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR, A HOLE PUNCTURED IN THE LEFT FLAP, CAUSED BY DEBRIS FROM THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. NO FURTHER DAMAGE WAS APPARENT FROM THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
