## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

IN THIS INSPECTORS OPINION AND AFTER REVIEWING ALL REPORTS, THESE FLIGHT ATTENDANT INJURIES WERE UNAVOIDABLE DUE TO CLEAR AIR TURBULENCE. THE PILOTS HAD THE PROPER WEATHER BRIEFINGS AND FOLLOWED ALL BEST SAFETY PRACTICES BY ASKING THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO TAKE THERE SEATS EARLY DUE TO THE WEATHER IN THE MIAMI AREA. THE PILOTS HAD NO "RIDE REPORTS" THAT LED THEM TO BELIEVE THEY WOULD ENCOUNTER TURBULENCE ACCORDING TO THE CREW REPORTS. THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE EVENT THE CABIN AND FLIGHT DECK COMMUNICATED VERY EFFICIENTLY TO MAINTAIN THE SAFETY AND MEDICAL CARE OF ALL INVOLVED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC08CA156](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC08CA156), Apr 7, 2008: Boeing 737-823 (N947AN), Miami, FL, no damage. Probable cause: An unexpected encounter with turbulence, during the initial descent for landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
