## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT N1144N EXPERIENCED A GEAR UP LANDING AT FRANKLIN FIELD (F72) LOCATED IN FRANKLIN, CA. THE DAMAGE SUSTAINED DURING LANDING WAS ORIGINALLY REPORTED AS MINOR, BUT AFTER AN EXAMINATION BY A LOCAL A/P MECHANIC THE ASSIGNED NTSB REPRESENTATIVE UPGRADED THE INCIDENT TO AN ACCIDENT. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION BY THE FAA DETERMINED THAT AN FAA CERTIFICATED 145 REPAIR FACILITY CONDUCTED AND EXTENSIVE EXAMINATION OF THE DAMAGE AND DETERMINED IT TO BE MINOR INSTEAD OF SUBSTANTIAL. THIS INFORMATION WAS RELAYED ONTO THE ASSIGNED NTSB REPRESENTATIVE WHO DOWNGRADED THE ACCIDENT TO AN INCIDENT AND BASED ON THIS NEW INFORMATION THIS MATTER WILL BE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
