## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE AT THE LAKELAND AIRPORT INVESTIGATING ANOTHER AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT, THIS CANADIAN REGISTERED AIRCRAFT WAS OBSERVED ON RAMP WITH PROP-DAMAGE TO ALL (3)BLADES. WHEN I ENQUIRED ABOUT THE AIRCRAFT TO THE FBO, THEY INFORMED ME THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THEIR RAMP THE DAY BEFORE (4/13/2008) DURING THE SUN AND FUN AIRSHOW AND THE PILOT ADVISED HE HAD A PROP STRIKE WHILE LANDING. I PLACED A CONDITION NOTICE ON AIRCRAFT AND RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE AIRCRAFT MFG "MOONEY" AND THEY ADVISED THEY WANTED TO INSTALL (3) NEW BLADES AND FERRY THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO TEXAS WHERE THEIR FACILITY IS. I ADVISED THEM PER THE ENGINE MFG MANUAL AND A SERVICE BULLETIN THAT THEY MUST PERFORM A ENGINE TEARDOWN FOR INSPECTION PRIOR TO ANY FLIGHT. THEY MOVED AIRCRAFT TO ANOTHER HANGAR ON AIRPORT AND REMOVED BLADES AND ENGNE, THEN SHIPPED OUT FOR SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
