## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)PILOT HAD MADE 4 TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. DURING THE FIFTH LANDING, PILOT TOUCHED DOWN PAST THE INTENDED INTERSECTION AND ELECTED TO HIGH SPEED TAXI TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY. PILOT REALIZED HE WAS TOO FAST AND APPLIED BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT IS EQUIPPED ONLY WITH A HAND BRAKE. PILOT FAILED TO REDUCE THROTTLE WHEN HE REMOVED HIS HAND TO APPLY BRAKES REDUCING THE AIRCRAFTS ABILITY TO SLOW THE SPEED. RPM ESTIMATED TO BE 1000 TO 1200 RPM NORMAL TAXI IS 800 RPM. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE AIRCRAFT TO THE LEFT ON THE END TAXIWAY OF THE RUNWAY AT TOO FAST OF SPEED. AIRCRAFT'S RIGHT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL. AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RUNWAY/TAXIWAY ENVIRONMENT AND CRASHED INTO A RETENTION POND EMBANKMENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
