## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW08CA103](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW08CA103), Apr 20, 2008: Beech C-23 (N2049L), De Queen, AR, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain control of the airplane during an aborted landing. Contributing to the accident were the crosswind and the pilot's inadequate compensation for the wind conditions.

## Other reports on N2049L (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19890822040799I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19890822040799I), Aug 22, 1989: Beech C23 (N2049L), Crockett, TX, Minor damage. Landed long. Bounced and drifted left. Left gear caught grass and wheel and strut broke.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
