## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS MAKING A LANDING AT LOVE FIELD IN CHATTANOOGA, TN (CHA) ON RUNWAY 2. PILOT SAID HE PUT THE GEAR DOWN. PILOT THOUGHT HE LOOKED AT MIRROR AND SAW WHEELS DOWN. PILOT ADMITTED HE DID NOT CHECK FOR A GREEN LIGHT INDICATING WHEELS DOWN AND LOCKED. ON APPROACH CHATTANOOGA TOWER CALLED THE AIRCRAFT 5 TIMES AND TOLD THE PILOT HIS GEAR WAS NOT DOWN AND TO GO AROUND. PILOT SAID HE DID NOT HEAR CHATTANOOGA TOWER NOR DID HE HEAR THE GEAR WARNING HORN. PILOT LANDED GEAR UP. CHATTANOOGA FBO RECYCLED THE GEAR AND FOUND THE GEAR MOTOR WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
