## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR RETRACT CHAIN BROKE AT THE TOP OF RETRACTION AFTER TAKE-OFF. THIS CAUSED THE RIGHT MLG & TAIL LG TO BE JAMMED IN THE UP POSITION & THE LEFT MLG TO TRAIL FREELY IN FLIGHT. UPON LANDING, THE LEFT MLG COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON ITS BELLY. THE LEFT PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND WITH BOTH BLADES. THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING & THE PROPELLER WAS FEATHERED UPON LANDING. ONE BLADE TIP ON THE RIGHT PROPELLER DID SUSTAIN SLIGHT DAMAGE AS IT SCRAPPED THE GROUND DURING THE BELLY LANDING. AIRPORT FIRE FIGHTING UNITS RESPONDED AND AGENT WAS DISPURSED DUE TO FLAMES VISIBLE FROM THE PORT SIDE OF LEFT ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
