## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APRIL 30, 2008, STUDENT PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS CONDUCTING A "RUN-UP" IN N930LA, A 2007 EVEKTOR-AEROTECHNIK SPORTSTAR PLUS AIRCRAFT NEAR THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 1, AT THE GREENWOOD MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WITH THE ENGINE RPM'S UP AROUND 4000, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ATTEMPTING TO USE HIS TOE BRAKES TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT FROM MOVING. HIS RIGHT FOOT SLIPPED OUT OF THE "FLIP-FLOP" TYPE SHOES HE WAS WEARING CAUSING HIS RIGHT FOOT TO SLIP OFF THE RUDDER PEDAL. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PUT HIS SHOE BACK ON, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO ROLL AND LEFT THE WEST SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY. THE AIRCRAFT HIT A RAISED "CORN ROW" CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE AND THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND. DAMAGE WAS SUBSTANTIAL TO THE AIRCRAFT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT. VISUAL METEORLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. THE AICRAFT WAS MOVED PRIOR TO OUT NOTIFICATION OR ARRIVAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
