## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING FROM T-HANGAR TO GENERAL AVIATION RAMP. THERE IS A SLIGHT UPHILL INCLINE AND A GRASS ISLAND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY. AIRCRAFT APPARENTLY DRIFTED LEFT WHILE TAXING WITH PILOT TALKING TO CLEARANCE DELIVERY, ENDING UP WITH THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND NOSE GEAR IN AN EROSION RUT IN THE GRASS ISLAND. WHEN OPERATOR ATTEMPTED TO INCREASE POWER TO TAXI OUT OF THE RUT AND GRASS, BACK ONTO THE TAXIWAY, IT APPEARS THAT THE NOSE GEAR JAMMED IN THE RUT AGAINST THE LIP TO THE TAXIWAY, THEN BROKE OFF AND COLLAPSED RESULTING IN SEVERE PROPELLER IMPACT DAMAGE. THERE ARE SIGNS OF PROPELLER CONTACT WITH THE TAXIWAY (RIGHT PROPELLER) AND WITH THE GRASS (LEFT PROPELLER). BOTH NOSE LANDING GEAR DOORS BENT AND TWISTED ALONG WITH LINKAGES. NOSE GEAR STRUT ASSEMBLY IS BROKEN/SNAPPED AT THE BASE OF THE NOSE STRUT AT THE FORK. ALL 3 BLADES ON RIGHT PROPELLER ARE BENT AND DAMAGED, TWO BENT AFT, ONE FORWARD. ALL 3 BLADES OF LEFT PROPELLER DAMAGED: ONE BLADE BENT AFT AND TWO SLIGHT TEARING, SCRAPES AND DENTS. BLADE TIPS MUD COVERED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
