## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT PERFORMED NORMAL PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS, TOWER CLEARED HIM FOR TAKE OFF. ON APPLYING TAKEOFF POWER AND THE TAIL LIFTING OFF THE GROUND AROUND 60 KTS THE AIRCRAFT WAS AT THE TIP OF A SLIGHT RISE IN THE RUNWAY, THE LANDING GEAR BEGAN TO RETRACT AND THE PROP TIPS STRUCK THE RUNWAY. PILOT BEGAN SHUT DOWN PROCEDURES. WHEN THE PILOT PULLED THE THROTTLES TO IDLE THE GEAR HORN SOUNDED. THE PILOT NOTICED THE GEAR HANDLE STILL IN THE DOWN POSITION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
