## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MAY 11, 2008, ABOUT 1300 CENTRAL STANDARD TIME A CESSNA 210 AIRCRAFT WHILE LANDING AT WOOD COUNTY AIRPORT, TX (JDD) DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AFTER TOUCHDOWN WHEN THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. THE 450 HOUR PRIVATE PILOT, WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT, WAS NOT INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER, LEFT ELEVATOR, AND LEFT WINGTIP. DURING THE RECOVERY OF THE AIRCRAFT, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION, BUT NOT PROPERLY LOCKED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
