## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS A STUDENT IN FIXED WING AIRCRAFT, BUT HOLDS A PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE IN HELICOPTERS. HE REPORTS THAT WHILE ON FINAL FOR LANDING AND CROSSING THE THRESHOLD OF THE RUNWAY, HE WAS CONCERNED THAT HE WAS LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE, FOR WHICH HE ATTEMPTED CORRECTIVE ACTION. HE REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT YAWED TO THE LEFT ABRUPTLY AND HE ELECTED TO ATTEMPT A GO-AROUND. HOWEVER, THE AIRCRAFT TURNED MORE TO THE LEFT AND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE GROUND AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE THOUGHT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE PILOT'S SEAT PROPERLY ADJUSTED WHICH MAY NO HAVE GIVEN HIM FULL AUTHORITY FOR BRAKES AND RUDDER MOVEMENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
