(-23) ON JUNE 2, 2008, AT 1551 EASTERN STANDARD TIME, A CESSNA 421C, N49DD, WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED WHEN ITS LANDING GEAR RETRACTED DURING TAKEOFF FROM RUNWAY 2 AT THE PITT-GREENVILLE AIRPORT (PGV), GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA. PILOT STATED THAT APPROXIMATELY 3,000 FT. INTO THE TAKE-OFF ROLL, AT A SPEED OF 10 KNOTS LESS THAN ROTATE, THE PILOT HEARD A LOUD BANG THAT HE THOUGHT WAS A NOSE TIRE EXPLODING. PILOT THEN FELT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE AND THEN FELT THE MAIN GEAR COLLAPSE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
