## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) RIGHT WING TRAILING EDGE WAS STRUCK BY A TUG, AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS READY TO TAXI OUT (ENGINES RUNNING, BRAKES OFF, AIRCRAFT NOT MOVING, AS REPORTED BY THE PILOT). THE FLAPS, AILERON AND UNDERSIDE OF WING SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. THE TUG OPERATOR SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THER WAS NO FUEL SPILL AND NO FIRE, AND NO INJURIES TO THE AIRCRAFT OCCUPANTS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC08CA073](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC08CA073), Jun 6, 2008: Cessna 510 (N902LG), Norfork, VA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The tractor tug driver's failure to maintain clearance with the parked airplane.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
