## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CONDUCTING PARACHUTE JUMPING OPERATIONS AT 10,000 FEET, A PASSENGER WHO WAS ONBOARD AS AN OBSERVER REPORTEDLY COMMITED SUICIDE WHEN HE JUMPED FORM THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE DEPARTURE OF THREE PLANNED JUMPERS, (VIDEOGRAPHER AND A TANDOM). THE PASSENGER/OBSERVER WAS NOT WEARING A PARACHUTE AS REQUIRED BY THE AIRCRAFT FLIGHT MANUAL AND WAS NOT SEATED IN AN APPROVED PASSENGER SEAT. THE VICTIM SUFFERED FATAL INJURIES AS A RESULT OF IMPACTING THE ROOF OF A PRIVATE RESIDENCE NEAR THE AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
