## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 12, 2008 AT 22:30 CDT, A CESSNA T182T, N2164Y ARRIVED AT OMAHA, NEBRASKA EPPLEY AIRFIELD ON A NIGHT TIME VFT CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM FLYING CLOUD, MINNESOTA. AFTER BEING CLEARED AND ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 32R, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED SEVERAL TIMES, CAUSING STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL AND FORWARD TUNNEL SECTION. THE PILOT ABORTED THE LANDING AND MADE TWO MORE APPROACHES BEFORE LANDING WITH A FLAT TIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DEN08CA117](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN08CA117), Jun 13, 2008: Cessna T182T (N2164Y), Omaha, NE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper use of the elevator trim resulting in a nose low/hard landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
