## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PILOT IN COMMAND OF WACO N29357 WAS ON APPROACH TO LEBANON, MAINE AIRPORT (LEB). ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER WHILE ON APPROACH AND WAS UNABLE GLIDE TO THE RUNWAY AT LEBANON. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ELECTED TO LAND ON HWY 89 IN LEBANON, NH. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND STRUCK A POLE ON THE EDGE OF THE HIGHWAY. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WING RESULTED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. AN AIRCRAFT MECHANIC WAS HIRED IN AN EFFORT TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE ENGINE FAILURE. THE MECHANIC CONTACTED THIS OFFICE AND STATED THAT HE FOUND THAT THE IGNITION WAS DEFECTIVE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
