## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT ON CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT LANDED ON RYANFIELD AND TAXIED UP TO FUEL PUMPS. STUDENT PILOT ERRONEOUSLY BELIEVED THAT THE YELLOW LINE PAINTED ON THE TARMAC IN FRONT OF THE FUEL PUMPS WAS A TAXI LINE. WHEN PILOT WAS LOOKING AT THE YELLOW LINE, THE RIGHT WING STRUCK A POLE ADJACENT TO THE FUEL PUMPS, MAKING A 4 INCH TO 6 INCH DENT IN THE WING LEADING EDGE ABOUT 2 FEET INBOARD FROM THE WING TIP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
