## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO EYW, THE PIC STARTED THROUGH THE LANDING CHECKLIST, THE PIC LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR AND HE DID NOT ACHIEVE "RIGHT MAIN GEAR LOCK." THE PIC CYCLED THE LANDING GEAR AND STILL NO GREEN LIGHT ACHIEVED, INSTRUMENT INDICATED A RED WARNING LIGHT AND SOUNDED A WARNING HORN. THE PIC CONTACTED ATC TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. THE PIC ENTERED INTO A HOLD PATTERN TO EXHAUST FUEL, AND INITIATE MANEUVERS TO LOCK THE LANDING GEAR IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE PIC MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING AND THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
