## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRMAN (WHILE CONDUCTING TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS) BOUNCED NUMEROUS TIMES UPON LANDING AND ATTEMPTED TO CONDUCT A GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT THEN BEGAN TO DRIFT TO THE 10 KT CROSSWIND. WHEN THE AIRMAN REALIZED HE WOULD NOT CLEAR THE BUILDINGS, HE REDUCED POWER WHICH RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE GROUND WITH THE LEFT WING, ALONG WITH A PROP STRIKE AND COLLAPSED NOSE GEAR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW08CA174](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW08CA174), Jun 28, 2008: Cessna 177 (N3337T), Baldwin City, KS, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's loss of directional control resulting from a hard landing and failure to recover from a bounced landing. Contributing to the accident was the crosswind.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
