## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT CHANGED THE DIRECTION OF HIS LANDING FROM THE ONE HE USUALLY USES TO ACCOMMODATE FOR A CROSSWIND, HE STATED THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME HE HAD TRIED TO LAND IN THIS DIRECTION AND HE THOUGHT HE HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO MAKE THE LANDING. THE PILOT FAILED TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE POWER PARACHUTE, RESULTING IN THE PARACHUTE GETTING TANGLED IN POWER LINE AND A GEAR LEG BEING BROKEN LOSS OF CONTROL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
