## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED THAT WHILE HE WAS CLIMBING THROUGH 1300 FEET AGL HE INTENTIONALLY RAN THE RIGHT FUEL TANK DRY. THE ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY QUIT. HE SWITCHED TANKS AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGINE. HE WAS UNNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND WAS FORCED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON AN UNAPPROVED AIRSTRIP. AS HE APPROACHED THE UNAPPROVED AIRSTRIP HE FOUND HIMSELF LANDING SHORT OF THE UNAPPROVED AIRSTRIP AND ATTEMPTED TO STRETCH THE GLIDE BY SLOWING THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED 10-15 FEET OFF OF THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME DOWN HARD ON ITS MAIN GEAR, COLLAPSING THE LEFT LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OVER ON ITS BACK AND CAME TO REST.
