## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT TOOK OFF FROM SARATOGA SPRINGS AIRPORT AND FLEW TO JOHNSTOWN/FULTON COUNTY AIRPORT. UPON ATTEMPTING TO STOP AFTER LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT LOSS CONTROL AND FLIPPED OVER CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT SHOWED NO SIGNS OF FORWARD MOVEMENT WHILE FLIPPING OVER. FAA EXAMINED AIRCRAFT AFTER IT WAS MOVED FROM THE RUNWAY TO A HANGAR, TWO DAYS LATER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC08CA240](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC08CA240), Jul 5, 2008: Cessna C-195 (N4380N), Johnstown, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
