## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT ATTEMPTED TAKEOFF FROM A DIRT ROAD, LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES NORTH OF THE PILOT POINT AIRPORT. DURING THE TAKEOFF RUN THE RIGHT WINGTIP CAME INTO CONTACT WITH AN ELEVATED BERM OF TERRAIN. THIS RESULTED IN A LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO DEPART THE ROAD TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 50 FEET FROM THE EDGE OF THE ROAD.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
