## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON LANDING THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON THE FRONT WHEELS WITH THE TAIL WHEEL STILL OFF THE GROUND. NEAR THE 1000 FT MARKINGS THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO VEER TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, A FRONT LEFT TIRE MARK WAS VISIBLE AT THIS LOCATION. AT ABOUT 1050' THE TAIL WHEEL CAME DOWN HARD LEAVING A SCUFF MARK. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED INTO A RIGHT GROUND LOOP. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT IT BY APPLYING LEFT RUDDER. AS THE TAIL STARTED TO PASS THE FRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT THE LOWER LEFT WING STRUCK THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN RAN OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY INTO A GRASS FIELD. IT THEN STRUCK A DITCH CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER.
