## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) APPROXIMATELY 1415Z AIRCRAFT WAS TAKING OFF FROM RUNWAY 27 AT 3DA. AIRCRAFT WAS HEADED WEST SOUTH WEST WHEN AN UNDETERMINED LACK OF POWER CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO MANUEVER INTO A NOSE UP ATTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO STALL AND ROLLED OVER HARD LEFT CAUSING THE LEFT WING SPAR TO SHEAR IN FLIGHT. THE WING ATTACHMENT FITTINGS WERE CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ENGINE MOUNT AS A STRUCTURAL SUPPORT. THE LOSS OF STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY CAUSED THE ENGINE TO DISMOUNT AND THE TORQUE PUSHED THE ENGINE FORWARD AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL PLAIN OF ROTATION THUS CAUSING TWO SEPERATE PROP STRIKES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE CAUSING ENGINE SHUTDOWN. EXACTLY FOUR SECONDS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A TREE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING AND THE REST OF AIRCRAFT. THE LEFT WING SPAR SUFFERED AN OVERSTRESS AT A POINT WHERE THE NR 2 RIB ATTACHED AT THE SPAR. THE CONNECTION POINT WAS A HOLE DRILLED THROUGH THE SPAR WITH A THROUGH BOLT WITH A WASHER . THE HOLE WAS BORED OUT DUE TO THE HARDWARE NOT FITTING THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURED HOLE. THE BORE CAUSED A DEGREDATION IN THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE METAL ALLOWING THE ENERGY OF THE OVERSTRESS TO SHEAR AT THAT LOCATION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
