## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO WITNESSES, THE AIRCRAFT MADE A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR JUST PAST THE RUNWAY THRESHOLD BUT SOON THEREAFTER THE NOSE WHEEL HIT THE RUNWAY WITH ENOUGH FORCE THAT THE AIRPLANE BOUNCED BACK IN THE AIR. THE AIRPLANE THEN TOUCHED DOWN A SECOND TIME, BUT BOUNCED INTO THE AIR ONCE AGAIN. WHEN THE AIRPLANE TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY A THIRD TIME, IT DID SO WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO FRACTURE THE NOSE WHEEL HUB AND THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WHEEL HUB. THE RIGHT PROPELLER ALSO STRUCK THE RUNWAY MORE THAN DOZEN TIMES AND WENT INTO FEATHER DURING THIS TOUCH DOWN SEQUENCE. THE AIRPLANE THEN BOUNCED INTO THE AIR AGAIN AND TOUHED DOWN AT LEAST ONE MORE TIME, FOLLOWED BY THE AIRPLANE BANKING RIGHT AND COLLIDING WITH SOME TREES OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF RWY 36, AND IMPACTED THE TERRAIN IN A FLAT OPEN FIELD. SOON AFTER THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST, IT WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
