## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER LANDING AND TAXIING TO PARKING SPORT, THE CHINO CONTROL TOWER NOTICED "FLAMES" COMING FROM THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE TOWER NOTIFIED THE CREW WHO IMMEDIATELY SHUTDOWN THE ENGINES AND DISCHARGED THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE FIRE BOTTLE BEFORE SAFELY EVACUATING THE AIRCRAFT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED TO PERFORM FIRE STANDBY DUTIES AT THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE OR COWLING. THE CREW MENTIONED THAT THEY APPLIED A "TOO RICH" FUEL/AIR MIXTURE DURING TAXI. THIS MIXTURE CAUSED THE "BURP" OF FLAME TO EXIT THE EXHAUST. MY INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
