## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 20, 2008 AT 0745 CDT, A QUICKSILVER SPORT S2 MODEL EXPERIMENTAL LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT, N910DB, DEPARTED FORT SMITH, AR (FSM) WHEN THE PRIVATE PILOT DETECTED THE ENGINE WAS NOT PRODUCING FULL RPM. HE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, MADE A LEFT TURN AND EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING ON AN INACTIVE RUNWAY. THE TITLE 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 FLIGHT OPERATED IN VISUAL METEROLOGICAL CONDITIONS. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT RECEIVED NO INJURIES. NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
