## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A SHORT FILED LADING AT SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. HE HAS NEVER BEEN TO AN AIRPORT WITH RAISED RUNWAY LIGHTS. PILOT WAS LANDING AT NIGHT AND DID NOT REALIZED THAT THE APROACH LIGHT SYSTEM LIGHTS ARE AVOVE THE GROUND. DURING HIS FLARE, HIS MAIN GEAR MADE CONTACT WITH A COUPLE OF LIGHTS CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RUNWAY LIGHTS AND MAIN GEAR FAIRING. PILOT WAS COUNSELED AND REFERED TO THE AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION MANUAL FOR TRAINING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
