## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO CORRECT FOR THE LOSS IN AIRSPEED WHEN THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND BOUNCED. THE INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT HE APPLIED FULL POWER AND HELD THE ELEVATOR CONTROL FULL AFT IN AN EFFORT TO BECOME AIRBORNE WITHOUT PORPOISING. HE STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT BECOME AIRBORNE, BUT REMAINED IN GROUND EFFECT, IN AN UNRECOVERED STALL DUE TO THE FULL AFT CONTROL. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI08LA228](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI08LA228), Jul 28, 2008: Evektor-Aerotechnik Sportstar (N605EV), Maple Lake, MN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The certified flight instructor's delayed remedial action to the encountered stall. Contributing to the accident was the student pilot's slow airspeed and inadvertent stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
