## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N9922M CE-207 MADE A NORMAL APPROACH AND TOUCH DOWN ON RUNWAY 30 AT AQH. DURING ROLL OUT WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN THE AIRACRAFT MADE A SHARP LEFT TURN. THE PILOT APPLIED FULL RIGHT RUDDER WITH NO EFFECT. THE PILOT STATED THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE WHEN THE RIGHT RUDDER WAS APPLIED. HE APPLIED FULL POWER TO ATTEMPT TO GET AIRBORNE. THE RUNWAY IS ELEVATED APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET ABOVE THE TUNDRA. THE AIRCRAFT RAN DOWN THE SLOPE APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET TO THE EDGE OF THE TUNDRA WHERE IT APPEARED TO BECOME AIRBORNE FOR ABOUT 50 FEET WHEN THE RIGHT WING TIP HIT THE GROUND PULLING THE NOSE WHEEL INTO THE TUNDRA MUD. THERE WAS A 50 FOOT TRENCH IN THE MUD TO WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST AND SANK UP TO IT'S BELLY IN THE MUD. THE RIGHT WING TIP WAS DAMAGED AND THE RIGHT WING WAS BUCKLED AT THE FUSELAGE. THE NOSE GEAR WAS BROKEN OFF. THE RUDDER TRIM WAS CENTERED AND POWER HAD BEEN PULLED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC08LA093](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC08LA093), Jul 29, 2008: Cessna 207 (N9952M), Quinhagak, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during an aborted landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
