## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) BLOCK 31 - ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HOLDS A SPORT PILOT CERTIFICATE. DURING LANDING ROLL-OUT ON RUNWAY 19 AT GLENDALE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, PILOT STATED A GUST OF WIND CAUGHT THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRCRAFT SLAMMED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR BROKE OFF, ALLOWING THE LEFT WING TO CONTACT THE PAVEMENT AND BREAK. FUSELAGE THEN ROLLED TO ITS LEFT SIDE BEFORE COMING TO REST.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX08CA294](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX08CA294), Aug 2, 2008: Air Creation Clipper 912 (N21721), Glendale, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The airplane's encounter with a dust devil.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
