## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 3, 2008 AT APPROXIMATELY 2100 HOURS 'Z' AT THE FLORA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT A SKYDIVER DEPLOYED HIS MAIN CHUTE AND ENCOUNTERED A 'LINE-OVER' ENTANGLEMENT OF THAT CHUTE AND THEN PERFORMED A 'CUT-AWAY' OF HIS MAIN CHUTE AT APPROXIMATELY 4000 FEET. AT THE SAME TIME THE MAIN CHUTE WAS RELEASED HIS "RSL' DEVICE RELEASED AND DROGE AND RISOR FOR HIS RESERVE CHUTE. THE SKYDIVER BECAME ENTANGLED IN THE RESERVE CHUTE RISER LINE WHICH INHIBITED THE REMOVAL FROM THE BAG AND DEPLOYMENT OF THE RESERVE PARACHUTE RESULTING IN THE SKYDIVER'S FATAL IMPACT WITH THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
