## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH-AND-GO TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS AT THE KOWD AIRPORT. HE LEFT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN THROUGH OUT THE EXERCISES. AFTER THE 4TH TOUCH-AND-GO THE PILOT DECIDED TO DEPART THE TERMINAL AREA AND PROCEED TO THE LAKEVILLE AREA TO PRACTICE WATER TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS. HOWEVER, HE CHANGED HIS MIND AND DECIDED TO REMAIN IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR ONE MORE TOUCH-AND-GO. AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL INSTRUCTED HIM TO FOLLOW ANOTHER AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT FAILED TO EXTEND HIS LANDING GEAR PRIOR TO LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ALONG THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE AND CAME TO A STOP SLIGHTLY LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE. THE LANDING WAS SMOOTH WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
