## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN THE PATTERN DOING TOUCH AND GO'S AND FULL STOP LANDINGS. DURING FIRST APPROACH, THE PILOT TRIED LANDING WITH EXTRA SPEED DUE TO GUSTY WINDS AND AS THE PILOT APPROACHED THE RUNWAY HE FELT THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOO HIGH AND HE REDUCED POWER. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED HARD ON THE RUNWAY AND BOUNCED BACK INTO THE AIR. THE PILOT ELECTED TO GO AROUND AND SET UP FOR ANOTHER LANDING. THE NEXT LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL BUT THE NOSE WHEEL WAS MAKING UNUSUAL NOISES. DURING POST FLIGHT THE PILOT DISCOVERED THE NOSE WHEEL FLAT AND THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
